Kacper Górski

Kacper Górski est invité au LIER-FYT du 6 au 14 avril dans le cadre du projet FoNTES - Fostering innovative training in the use of European legal sources.

Dr. Kacper Górski graduated in law from Jagiellonian University in Kraków (2015). He continued his research as PhD student in the field of history of Polish law (2015-2021). In 2021 he successfully defended summa cum laude his PhD thesis entitled Penal Jurisdiction of both Judicial and Official Castrensial Courts of Law in Kraków (1585–1620). A Study of Old Polish Administration of Justice, which was honoured with City of Kraków Award in 2022. Since 2021 he is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Law and Administration of Jagiellonian University in Kraków.

His academic interests encompass praxis of early modern Old Polish judiciary (16th-18th centuries), especially in the field of criminal law and court proceedings, as well as sources of early modern land law (i.e., the law of the noble estate) in the Kingdom of Poland and Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.

He a secretary of the journal Krakowskie Studia z Historii Państwa i Prawa (Cracow Studies of Constitutional and Legal History) and participates in project “FONTES. FOstering iNnovative Training in the use of European legal Sources”.
